I am a male in my late 30s and have been living in the USA for the past 15 years. I have made enough money to retire comfortably. I never wanted to marry or have kids. When I talk to my relatives in India, they often ask me why I dont come back to India and live with my widowed mum, because I am no longer working in USA or managing a family. The fact is I never lived in USA for money or job but because I liked the life, culture and society here. But I find it difficult to explain to the older generation in India who feels that I should go back to take care of my mum even though my mum is in good health and my sibling lives very close to her. Wondering if there are others in the same boat as me?
