Historical Event on 1/19/1907
Mohammad Ali Mirza was crowned as the ""Shah-E-Iran"" in a grand function held in Royal Palace, Tehran. This coronation was performed on the precious throne ""Thakt-E-Taus"" which was made by Emperor Shahjahan, and was taken away from India during the invasion of Nadir Shah in 1738 AD.

2/20/1982	The Kangla Tongbi war memorial built for 221 members of Advance Base Depot, who laid down their lives to repulse several waves of Japanese attacks, was finally shifted to College of Materials Management Jabalpur. The original memorial was erected on 15 Apr 1946 from local stone and the main epitaph displayed above is of black Naga stone.

7/23/1996	R. Bhattacharji was appointed as the Narcotics Commissioner of India. He is heading this office till date.
8/13/1997	The contentious women's reservation bill put on the back burner with PM Gujral saying govt. would not push through such a major social legislation until there was a consensus on it.
